The Superintendent of Schools provides executive leadership for the Hopkins Public Schools by serving as the school board's chief executive officer and preeminent educational adviser in all efforts of the board to fulfill its governance role.

Essential duties include policy and governance, planning and assessment, organizational management, communications and community relations, and instructional leadership.
