Innovation and flexibility are needed at the legislative level to eliminate outdated requirements and success "determinants" for today's students. The current school structure was based on a system from the early 20th century. It was designed to prepare students for industrial work, an industry that will be nearly unrecognizable by the year 2031, the year that our 2018-19 kindergartners will graduate high school.

In Hopkins, we are working closely and intentionally with our 12 state legislators to redefine laws and reinterpret implementation of policies that act as barriers for innovation and flexibility.
